Can Google figure out what you do and where you do it?
Hi y’all,
You’re not alone if you’ve got questions about SEO and Google visibility. I get questions about it constantly. So I asked our Content Marketing Manager, Celita, to break down the quick wins that actually move the needle.
Before she takes it away, I have an exciting announcement: We’ll be at ARA Show 2026 in Orlando (March 2-4)! We’ll have a booth, but will also be hosting an industry mixer and warehouse tours. Would you reply to this email and let me know if you/your team will be there?

Hi everyone,
If you’ve already got beautiful inventory photos, killer customer service, and events that would make Pinterest jealous, you’re doing great. But when someone searches “event rentals near me,” are they finding your competitor instead?
They could be, if you don’t make it easy for search engines and AI can’t figure out what you do or where you do it.
Here’s what could be holding back your search visibility:
- Your Google Business Profile isn’t robust. Most event pros claim their profile and call it done. But Google rewards the details. Add your service areas, business attributes (delivery available, appointment required), and secondary categories.
- Your website is slow. If your site takes more than 3 seconds to load, people bounce before seeing your gorgeous linens. Run your URL through PageSpeed Insights, compress those high-res photos, and consider working with a developer for outstanding issues.
- Your business info isn’t consistent. Google cross-checks your name, address, and phone number across the entire internet. If your website says “ABC Party Rentals” but your Google listing says “ABC Rentals,” you’re confusing the algorithm.
Quick technical wins for this afternoon:
- Set up Google Search Console (it’s free and shows what searches find you)
- Add location pages if you serve multiple cities
- Enable messaging on your Google Business Profile (Gen Z prefers texting to calling)
The 30-minute game changer that pays dividends is using Goodshuffle Pro’s Website Integration. It automatically creates structured data that Google loves, pulls in all your inventory with proper descriptions, and updates everything in real-time, so you can avoid the duplicate work of website updates every time your pricing changes.
None of these suggestions are as technical as they might sound. My best piece of advice is to start with updating your Google Business Profile, then pick a project a day. By the time you read the next drop of Busy Season, you’ll be done!
The work you do today on this front pays dividends over time, and when someone searches for rentals in your area, you’ll be ready!
Have a great week ahead,
Celita Summa
